On Giving Tuesday, December 2, Community Resource Center has a goal of raising $42,000 to help provide the shelter, food, counseling and care our neighbors need the most. You can help by sharing our campaign on Giving Tuesday, December 2.

National Charity League (NCL) Surf Cities Chapter has been a dedicated supporter of Community Resource Center for decades, serving our community through compassion and consistent volunteerism. This year, the NCL Class of 2028 carried that legacy forward by selecting CRC as their philanthropy focus—and their impact has been nothing short of inspiring.

Daniel visits our client-choice pantry to choose nourishing food for himself, his two foster children and his aging mother. For Daniel, who lives with a disability after surviving an assault, CRC has become a lifeline.

Gabriela arrived at CRC’s emergency shelter with her 7-year-old daughter, Maribel, finding safety and a new beginning for her family.

With the support of our compassionate community, our 43rd Annual Holiday Baskets Program will help families celebrate the season while easing financial stress, allowing them to focus on essentials like rent and utilities.

After tragically losing her eldest son, Sam became trapped in an abusive relationship. Sam left everything behind and spent a year unsheltered for the first time in her life.

August is National “Make a Will” Month, a reminder of the importance of having an estate plan in place.

Sophia shares, "The food and nutrition center is very helpful to be able to put food on our table, especially with the food prices going up so high. We care for two children we’re fostering, a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old with medical complexities. And my sister-in-law lives with us with her two kids, ages 13 and 8. What may seem like a small donation makes a huge difference to us being low income. Even the diapers have helped a lot. I’m very thankful for it."

Sara shares, "When I think about the profound impact of CRC counseling in my life I am moved beyond words. Did you know that there are people out there in this world whose love for others is so great and so deep that they are willing to give so that a complete stranger can have a better life?"

Our 30th Anniversary Tea raises critical funds to support CRC on April 5, 2025.

Liliana’s journey is one of extraordinary courage. Fleeing domestic abuse to a new country with her two young children, 9‑year‑old Lorenzo and 5‑year‑old Leonel, Liliana was determined to create a better life for her family.
