  Congratulations to Anne Daigle, CRC's 2026 Volunteer of the Year!

  CRC is proud to celebrate Anne Daigle as our 2026 Volunteer of the Year.

  Anne was recognized at the North County Philanthropy Council’s Volunteer of the Year Celebration on April 10, where more than 100 nonprofits honor a volunteer who has gone above and beyond to amplify their mission and impact. Each year, CRC has the opportunity to recognize one extraordinary volunteer at this special event. While so many dedicated volunteers make a meaningful difference across our programs, Anne stands out for her exceptional leadership, compassion and long-standing commitment to our neighbors.

  Anne has been a steady and inspiring presence at CRC for many years. Her service reflects the very best of volunteerism, showing up consistently, leading with care and building genuine connection with the people and programs she supports.

  When asked to share one rewarding experience from her time with CRC, Anne said:

  "My most significant and rewarding experiences happen with every neighbor that I serve every time I volunteer at CRC’s Food and Nutrition Center. I receive immense gratitude and appreciation back from our neighbors that we assist who are obtaining healthy foods. Just showing up weekly for the past 15+ years, and creating bonds with our neighbors with as little as a smile, hug, or giving non-judgmental empathetic support shows me the importance of being a constant light in someone’s life. Our CRC neighbors make my light shine stronger, drives my passion to help more, and outweighs any effort I and others put in to help our neighbors immediate and long term life situations, which in turn makes our bonds and connections in the community stronger."

  Anne's impact can be felt across many parts of CRC. Anne currently serves as a dedicated member of our Board of Directors and holds the role of Secretary. She also chairs both the Programs Committee and the Capital Campaign Committee, offering thoughtful leadership, strategic guidance and hands-on support that have helped strengthen CRC’s work and future vision.

  Anne’s volunteer journey with CRC began in 2006, when she and her daughter Julia served meals at CRC’s shelter and helped organize the “bread room.” Since 2013, she has been a regular presence at our Food & Nutrition Center, where she stocks shelves, assists neighbors and brings warmth, empathy and efficiency to every shift.

  

  

  

  

  Her leadership has also played an important role in advancing CRC’s One Community • One Heart Capital Campaign. Anne has been a passionate advocate for the campaign and for the future of CRC’s campus, helping communicate the vision, engage supporters and build momentum for the work ahead. Her belief in what this investment will make possible for children, seniors and families in our community has helped inspire others to join in support.

  From board governance to direct service to capital campaign advocacy, Anne embodies the spirit of volunteerism in every sense. She leads with generosity, shows up with humility and helps strengthen CRC’s mission through both action and heart.

  We are deeply grateful for Anne and the many ways she has helped CRC grow, serve and dream bigger for our community.
