Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds are an excellent way to simplify your charitable giving and achieve your philanthropic goals.

A donor advised fund (DAF) is a type of giving program administered by a third party – such as Fidelity Charitable or Schwab Charitable – that allows you to combine favorable tax benefits with the ability to easily support your favorite charities.

You, the donor, make gifts of cash, stock and other assets to your DAF. You receive an immediate tax deduction when the contribution is made. However, you don’t have to immediately make distributions from the DAF. You may take time to select grants of specified amounts to the charities of your choice before advising your DAF administrator to make a gift to a charity.

Donors with DAFs at Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and BNY Mellon can easily request a distribution through the DAF Direct window on this page. You may designate that CRC should use the gift wherever the need is greatest, or specify use for a CRC program such as food & nutrition, domestic violence or integrative services.
