Impact Statement

Our mission is to help our neighbors create paths to healthy food, stable homes and safe relationships.

We do this through a variety of programs including emergency assistance, domestic violence emergency shelter, counseling, housing stability and access to food.

Community Resource Center is widely recognized as the primary provider of social services and domestic violence programs in coastal North County San Diego, serving more than 7,200 people each year.

Mission Moments

Sheila’s Story

Sheila and her two-year-old daughter, Lisa, found refuge with CRC after fleeing a dangerous domestic abuse situation. During their time in CRC’s domestic violence shelter, Carol’s House, Sheila received support to build a safe future for her family.

Sophia’s Story

Sophia worried she might have to choose between buying food and paying rent. Thanks to CRC’s client-choice Food & Nutrition Center, Sophia has a lifeline to keep everyone nourished and remain financially stable.

Camila’s Story

Camila was living in an abusive situation and made the courageous decision to leave. She was facing homelessness and no support system to turn to and she reached out to CRC’s Elder Abuse Services, a program to help older adults regain safety, stability and dignity.

Nichole’s Story

Nichole, a single mother with a 5-year-old daughter, reached out to Community Resource Center for help to escape her abuser and relocate safely.
