Gabriela arrived at CRC’s emergency shelter with her 7-year-old daughter, Maribel, finding safety and a new beginning for her family.

After tragically losing her eldest son, Sam became trapped in an abusive relationship. Sam left everything behind and spent a year unsheltered for the first time in her life.

Sara shares, "When I think about the profound impact of CRC counseling in my life I am moved beyond words. Did you know that there are people out there in this world whose love for others is so great and so deep that they are willing to give so that a complete stranger can have a better life?"

Liliana’s journey is one of extraordinary courage. Fleeing domestic abuse to a new country with her two young children, 9‑year‑old Lorenzo and 5‑year‑old Leonel, Liliana was determined to create a better life for her family.

At 68, Camila never expected to start over. But she was living in an abusive situation and made the courageous decision to leave.

Sheila and her two-year-old daughter, Lisa, found refuge with CRC after fleeing a dangerous situation of domestic violence.

Paula’s journey to healing began when she joined a support group for survivors of domestic violence at CRC. Through the support and guidance she received, Paula started to address her past trauma and take steps toward recovery.

Nichole, a single mother with a 5-year-old daughter, reached out to Community Resource Center for help to escape her abuser and relocate safely.

She had three children to take care of and no money to go somewhere else.  That's when she contacted CRC's Domestic Violence program, which helped her pay the back rent and find a new home for her family.
