CRC staff had the opportunity to thank our volunteers at our annual Volunteer Appreciation event, held on Thursday, May 9, at Pannikin Coffee and Tea House.
The theme was “Serving Our Neighbors Since 1979” and we were able to bring some fun throwbacks to the party such as a vintage VW bus, polaroid photos, and a booklet filled with CRC history. During the event, our CEO John Van Cleef shared:
“It is incredible to think that 45 years ago, Encinitas community members laid the groundwork for the CRC that we are all privileged to be part of today.
For 45 years, volunteers have prioritized service led by compassion. They have provided support to our staff and to our clients and to our mission unwaveringly. They have seen and they have humanized people in a way that offers hope.”
