Daniel’s Story

“I’m disabled and wouldn’t know what to do if you guys weren’t there as a resource.” – Daniel

Daniel visits CRC’s Food & Nutrition Center to choose nourishing food for himself, his two foster children and his aging mother. After surviving an assault, he lives with a disability and CRC has become a lifeline.

Daniel shares: “CRC has helped me out tremendously. I can afford to pay my bills on top of receiving food for my family. I get the food I need for dinner and lunches. I also pick up emergency food for my mom. I’m disabled and wouldn’t know what to do if you guys weren’t there as a resource.”

Because of CRC, Daniel no longer has to choose between food and keeping up with bills. That stability allows him to stay in his home and focus on caring for his family and helping his kids thrive.

Daniel worked in health care for 20 years and once hoped to become a counselor. Today, he’s channeling that same compassion at home, making sure his family has what they need to feel safe, nourished and hopeful.
