About CRC's Housing and Supportive Services

CRC assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness, and those at risk of experiencing homelessness, with housing resources, rental assistance, financial education and individualized support.

Emergency Shelter

Interfaith Shelter Network

Night-only rotational shelter between churches in the North County Coastal Area providing shelter and meals for transitionally homeless individuals and families. Runs from October through April.

Bridge Housing Motel Voucher Program*

Provides a short-term stay in a local motel and may prevent people’s fall from temporary homelessness to chronic homelessness. Requires a housing plan within 2 weeks. *Available to residents or those experiencing homelessness in Carlsbad or Encinitas.

Supportive Services

Case Management

Case managers work one-on-one with program participants to set goals and work towards self-sufficiency and security for themselves and their families.

CalFresh & Benefit Enrollment

Through a partnership with San Diego Health and Human Services, CRC participants can apply for CalFresh and other public benefits, allowing eligible applicants to receive same-day certification for these benefits.

Carlsbad Employment and Benefits Program

Individuals experiencing homelessness in Carlsbad are eligible for one-on-one assistance to secure employment, acquire job skills and increase earning potential.  Participants are also eligible to receive application assistance for public benefits as well as application and appeals support for SSI/SSDI.

Transportation & Utilities Assistance

Eligible participants are provided with support through the means of gas cards and/or bus and coaster passes, enabling them to get the vital transportation necessary to gain employment and access other critical services, as well as financial support to address past-due and current utilities bills to avoid shut-off.

Rental & Financial Assistance: Solana Beach Seniors

If you're 55+, at or below 80% of Area Median Income, and living in Solana Beach, you might be eligible for financial support and personalized case management. You can learn more in our Solana Beach Assistance Flyer or please contact us (see contact information below).

Funding for this program is provided by the City of Solana Beach Community Grant Program and Solana Beach Community Connections.

For rental assistance outside of these cities, please contact 2-1-1 San Diego for additional resources.

Housing Assistance: Carlsbad Rapid ReHousing

CRC provides Carlsbad families and individuals experiencing homelessness with case management, housing identification & navigation support, benefit screening, employment assistance, as well as move-in and rental assistance. Referrals for this program come directly from The City of Carlsbad, HOT Team, County of San Diego, PATH and YMCA.

Housing Assistance: Encinitas Opening Doors

Encinitas individuals and families experiencing homelessness can meet with us for help finding a home, financial housing assistance and connections to valuable resources. All veterans experiencing homelessness are welcome regardless of discharge status or income.

CRC provides families and individuals experiencing homelessness with case management and housing navigation support, as well as rental and deposit assistance with the goal of helping participants obtain and maintain permanent housing. Referrals for this program come directly from the Coordinated Entry System facilitated by the Regional Task Force on Homelessness.

Community Education

Workshops

CRC offers Financial Fitness and Housing workshops, presented by CRC staff or partner organizations. These workshops are open to the community and are free of charge.
