Press Release: CRC Voted Encinitas Chamber’s Nonprofit Partner of the Year

ENCINITAS, Calif. (October 30, 2024) — Community Resource Center (CRC) was honored as the Nonprofit Partner of the Year at the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce’s 60th Anniversary Dinner & Awards on October 24, 2024. Voted by the Encinitas community, this award recognizes CRC’s dedication to helping vulnerable individuals and families in North County. 

The milestone event celebrated six decades of the Encinitas Chamber’s commitment to supporting local businesses and strengthening community connections. The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce’s 60th Anniversary celebration showcased local champions who have shaped the community, honoring individuals and organizations for their dedication to Encinitas and beyond.

“We’re honored by this recognition from the Encinitas Chamber and our community,” said John Van Cleef, CEO of CRC. “As we celebrate CRC’s 45th year of service, we’re grateful for the partnership and trust of our community, which empowers us to provide essential services and support to those in need. Since 1979, CRC has provided critical resources for low-income individuals and families, including emergency food assistance, housing stability, and domestic violence services. Operating across three locations in Encinitas, Carlsbad and San Marcos, CRC serves over 7,200 individuals each year with a mission to help neighbors create paths to healthy food, stable homes and safe relationships.

Established in 1979, Community Resource Center (CRC) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to help our neighbors create paths to healthy food, stable homes and safe relationships. Individuals and families come to CRC for help overcoming barriers to personal well-being, including trauma, systemic racism, economic instability, unemployment, food and housing insecurity, poverty, and inaccessibility of mental health services.
