2026 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

The National Association of Letter Carriers hosts their annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on the 2nd Saturday in May each year. This year, on Saturday, May 9, letter carriers will collect your non-perishable food donations and deliver them back to the post offices. CRC will receive donations delivered to the Encinitas post office, where CRC volunteers will sort and box them for our food pantry.

Participating in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is simple!
Just leave a bag of nonperishable food donations by your mailbox on Saturday, May 9. Your letter carrier will do the rest.

Some of the top requested non-perishable food items are: cereal, pasta, pasta sauce or spaghetti sauce, rice, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meals (such as soups, chili and pasta), chicken/vegetable stock, peanut butter, macaroni & cheese, canned protein (tuna, chicken and turkey), beans (canned or dry). You also can donate healthy, low-sodium, low-sugar items such as oatmeal and other whole grains, and canola or olive oil.
