About CRC’s Domestic Violence Services
At CRC, survivors escaping domestic violence find safety and healing through our emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, Therapeutic Children’s Center, legal advocacy and other supportive services. Our goal is to offer the tools and opportunities needed for safety, stability and healing. Additionally, CRC offers Domestic Violence Prevention presentations and trainings to educate adults and youth about the dynamics of abuse, with the mission to prevent abusive relationships.
Carol’s House
Emergency Shelter
Carol’s House is a 24-bed emergency shelter that offers survivors of domestic violence a safe home for 45 to 60 days. Carol’s House is a County-funded program.

Domestic Violence Program participants receive comprehensive supportive services to facilitate the transition to healthier, happier and safer lives.

Therapeutic Children's Center
The Therapeutic Children’s Center (TCC) provides a safe, healthy environment for children in our domestic violence or counseling programs who are recovering from the effects of domestic violence. Counseling and additional therapeutic activities specifically designed for our youngest clients promote age-appropriate childhood development and help to break the generational cycle of violence.
Victim Support Services
Housing & Financial Assistance
For domestic violence survivors leaving abusive relationships, CRC can provide housing resources including rapid re-housing and rental assistance, financial education and individualized support. We can help with moving expenses, deposits, car repair, utilities and more.

Elder Abuse Services
Our Elder Abuse Services provide comprehensive support to ensure the safety and well-being of elder and dependent adult victims of crime. We help individuals ages 60+ or dependent adult victims of crime with:
- Referrals for food, shelter and healthcare
- Crisis intervention & safety planning
- Case management
- Counseling & outreach
- Emergency assistance funds
- Legal advocacy

Latino Advocacy Services
Advocacy services are available to Latino survivors/victims of crime (seniors, adults and children), including intimate partner violence, assault, child or elder abuse.


Domestic Violence Survivor Support Group
Provides a safe and relaxed environment for those who are or were in an abusive relationship, encouraging personal growth and healing in all areas of life.
Men's Survivor Support Group
Available to any man (age 17+) who has experienced domestic or family violence, assault or trafficking.
Individualized Parenting Support
Counseling services are available for children under 18 and their caregivers.
Domestic Violence Prevention Education
CRC works to prevent domestic violence in the community through educational presentations to schools, groups and businesses. CRC prevention educators offer an in-depth series of classes or workshops about domestic violence to students, teachers and parents to raise awareness around domestic violence and teen dating abuse, and how to develop healthy relationships.
Our annual Comprehensive 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training, which takes place in June, is for those who want to learn from experts in the field about the dynamics and danger of intimate partner violence in our society and how to empower survivors in their healing.

Our Domestic Violence Prevention Educators are Available for Classes
Our prevention educators have developed dynamic and engaging workshops designed to empower participants, including:
- Relationship Awareness Workshops: Guided by the expertise of Veronica Lopez, participants will engage in a journey of personal growth and empowerment, learning about the significance of self-love, establishing healthy boundaries, and recognizing red flags in relationships. - Young Love Workshop: This fun and interactive workshop provides young individuals with essential skills and knowledge to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy relationships. Our focus is on prevention and fostering a supportive community for our youth.
