As we settle into the new year, it’s an ideal time to reflect on the values and mission that guide CRC’s work and the steps we are taking to create a brighter future for our neighbors in need.
At CRC, our vision is clear: Communities where everyone has access to the resources they need to live with dignity.
Combined with our values and mission, the vision that everyone has dignity serves as the foundation for all we do, particularly as we address critical issues including hunger, homelessness and domestic violence.
Dignity is a fundamental human right. It means ensuring that every individual has access to basic needs like food, shelter and safety. It means treating everyone with compassion, respect and care. It means creating a community where everyone feels valued and supported.
Dignity is the lens through which we design programs, build partnerships and engage with our neighbors. For those experiencing the trauma of losing a home, struggling to provide enough food for their children or seeking safety from domestic violence, being met with kindness and resources can be a life-changing step toward stability.
Reflecting on the past year, we are proud of the strides we’ve made together to bring dignity to our neighbors. With your support, in 2024 CRC:
- Distributed over 650,000 pounds of food to households facing food insecurity.
- Responded to over 3,000 domestic violence hotline calls, offering critical resources and support.
- Provided 3,340 counseling sessions to individuals and families in need of compassionate care.
- Delivered prevention education to 2,164 individuals to help stop domestic violence before it starts.
- Supported 170 households with emergency shelter, housing resources, and financial assistance during over 4,200 case management sessions.
- Provided safe shelter and healing services to 82 individuals at our domestic violence shelter.
- Expanded access to vital programs through the opening of our Trauma Recovery Center in Carlsbad.
- Reached a milestone of raising $10.7 million for the transformation of our Encinitas campus into a healing-centered environment for the people we help.
These accomplishments are steps toward a future where dignity is a shared reality for everyone.
Thank you for making this work possible. Together, we can support our neighbors and ensure every person has access to the resources they need to live with hope and stability.
