CRC’s Response to the Federal Funding Freeze

Resilience and Commitment: Supporting Our Neighbors Through Uncertainty

On January 27, the Office of Management and Budget released memo M-25-13, titled “Temporary Pause of Agency Grant, Loan, and Other Financial Assistance Programs.” Though a federal judge has temporarily blocked this action, this memo outlines a funding freeze to allow the “Administration time to review agency programs and determine the best uses of the funding for those programs consistent with the law and the President’s priorities.”

While the full impact of this order is not yet clear, we have an action plan in place that includes:

  • Monitoring federal communications for updates
  • Developing contingency plans to ensure continued service
  • Engaging our community’s support
  • Advocating with our elected leaders

What remains clear is our unwavering commitment to our mission:

As we did during the pandemic, CRC will once again demonstrate resilience in responding to external challenges that are beyond our control, and commitment to helping our neighbors on their paths to healthy food, stable homes and safe relationships.

Your ongoing support is vital during uncertain times like these. Together, we can ensure our neighbors have the resources they need, no matter the circumstances.

I will follow up with more information when it becomes available. For more context, you can access the full memo here.
