June Volunteer of the Month: Beth Whitteker

Congratulations to CRC’s Volunteer of the Month, Beth Whitteker!

Beth has been an Ambassador and volunteer for nearly six years, starting out as a regular Holiday Baskets volunteer, and then getting more involved with our tabling and outreach opportunities. Beth recently purchased a new “opportunity wheel” to help make our booths more interactive and approachable. Having just tabled at the Juneteenth event, Beth says:

“I volunteer because I strongly value serving and connecting with my community. At Juneteenth, I met a woman who told me with tears in her eyes that CRC saved her life almost 20 years ago when she was scared and alone. That hug made my day! I also connected with other organizations who make our community stronger. Volunteering for CRC helps my mental health and fosters a sense of self efficacy and resilience. Thank you CRC!”

And, thank YOU, Beth!
