On March 31, we recognize the essential contributions of farmworkers and reaffirm our commitment to dignity, equity and inclusion.
This year, we are making a thoughtful shift in how we recognize and honor the people who make our work possible and our communities stronger. In alignment with our values and recognizing California’s move toward an updated designation, CRC will observe Farmworkers Day on March 31.
We are joining the state in this change to center the collective contributions of farmworkers and recognize the essential role they play in sustaining our food systems and supporting the health and well-being of our communities. This broader framing aligns closely with our mission and reflects our commitment to equity, dignity and inclusion, as well as our stand with women and victims of crime.
Farmworkers are deeply connected to our mission of ensuring access to healthy food for all. Recognizing Farmworkers Day is an opportunity for us to intentionally acknowledge their work, resilience and lived experiences. This is an important step in aligning our practices with our values and the communities we serve.
Thank you for the care and purpose you each bring to CRC. I’m proud of how we continue to evolve together, grounded in our shared values.
Please note: All of CRC, including our offices and resale stores, will be closed on Tuesday, March 31, in observance of Farmworkers Day. If you need assistance or emergency support, please call or visit 2-1-1. In an emergency, dial 911.
