Encinitas, Calif. (March 9, 2023) – Community Resource Center (CRC) will host its 28th Annual CRC Tea on Saturday, April 15 at 1:30 PM at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club. The event provides funding to support CRC’s wraparound programs that provide healthy food, housing assistance, counseling, legal advocacy, an emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence, and more.
This year’s event will feature a silent auction, raffle prizes, lunch and a motivational program hosted by John Van Cleef, CRC’s Chief Executive Officer.
Selected as the theme color for this year’s Tea, the 2023 Pantone Color of the Year – Viva Magenta – is powerful and empowering and expresses pure joy. For some in our community, joy is a fully stocked refrigerator, the keys to a new home, the knowledge that they and their children can sleep in safety.
When guests gather at the CRC Tea, they deepen their empathy and compassion for those in need of our help: men, women and children who are experiencing hunger, homelessness and domestic violence. Working together, we can give them help and hope – and joy – through CRC’s life-changing programs.
In 2022, 333 people found safe housing through CRC’s intervention programs, domestic violence shelter and transitional units, more than 612,000 pounds of food was distributed in 11,958 visits to CRC’s food pantry, and 2,421 counseling sessions provided compassionate care to CRC participants.

About Community Resource Center
Established in 1979, Community Resource Center (CRC) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to help our neighbors create paths to healthy food, stable homes and safe relationships. Individuals and families come to CRC for help to overcome barriers to personal well-being – trauma, systemic racism, racial inequality, economic instability, unemployment, food and/or housing insecurity, poverty and inaccessibility of mental health services. CRC provides emergency assistance, case management, counseling, shelter, and food assistance to low-income individuals and families who are economically vulnerable, experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of homelessness, including domestic violence (DV) survivors.
