Press Release: CRC and Subaru Support North County Neighbors in Need During the Share the Love® Event

Community Resource Center and Subaru Support North County Neighbors in Need During the Share the Love® Event

ENCINITAS, Calif. (December 5, 2024) — Community Resource Center (CRC) is honored to continue its partnership as a hometown charity beneficiary of Subaru’s Share the Love® Event for the fourth consecutive year. This annual initiative, running from November 21, 2024, through January 2, 2025, provides Subaru owners and lessees the opportunity to make a significant impact in their community.

For every new Subaru purchased or leased during the event, Subaru of America, Inc. will donate $250 to the customer’s charity of choice. Additionally, AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad will contribute to CRC an extra $75 per vehicle sold or leased. Combined, this means $325 per vehicle sold or leased will support vital programs that help North County neighbors in need.

Last year, this partnership raised an incredible $27,966 for CRC’s programs, and AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad is hopeful to surpass that amount this year. In addition to financial contributions, AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad staff actively volunteer with CRC, assisting in food distribution programs that help provide healthy food to local households in need.

Nate Thompson, General Manager of AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad, shared: “We are proud to support Community Resource Center through the Share the Love® Event and volunteering at their food pantry. We encourage our community to join us in this effort by visiting AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad, purchasing or leasing a new Subaru, and selecting CRC as your charity of choice. Together, during this holiday season, we can create lasting change for neighbors in need.”

Funds raised will directly support CRC’s programs, including food distribution, housing assistance, counseling and domestic violence prevention and intervention. This partnership comes during a milestone year for CRC, as the organization celebrates its 45th year of service. Serving over 7,200 San Diegans annually, CRC is a cornerstone of support for individuals and families in crisis.

“We are proud to be the local community partner with Subaru and AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad. It’s an honor to join them in Sharing the Love with our neighbors who need critical resources like food, shelter, and housing,” said CRC CEO John Van Cleef. “Their support, combined with the generosity of Subaru customers, fuels hope and creates lasting change in the lives of those we serve.”

Since its inception, Subaru’s Share the Love® Event has donated over $288 million to charities nationwide, supporting nearly 2,300 hometown charities. To learn more and find out how you can participate, visit AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad at autonationsubarucarlsbad.com or Subaru.com/Share.
