North County Informador: Interviews with CRC Staff

Luis Canseco, CRC’s Domestic Violence Education and Prevention Manager, is featured on the cover of the October issue of North County Informador. Luis is dedicated to raising awareness around domestic violence prevention. His story is not only inspiring, but it also reflects the deep commitment he brings to our mission and work at CRC. By sharing his own experiences, Luis highlights the importance of connecting with those we serve, understanding their challenges, and being a source of support and hope for individuals in need. Luis shares, “I want society to move towards prevention and stop violence before it happens.”

Adriana Naranjo, CRC’s Bilingual Mental Health Clinician and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), also contributed to the magazine to share “5 Reasons Why it Can be Difficult for Latinos to Talk About Mental Health.” Among Latinos, depression and mental health problems are often stigmatized. “Our culture teaches us to be strong, but it also reminds us that it’s okay to ask for help. Don’t face depression in solitude. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness but of strength,” says Naranjo.
