Bringing Holiday Joy & Hope to 6,000 People in Need: Jingle & Mingle Event on December 7

Who:      Community Resource Center (CRC), a nonprofit organization working to end hunger, homelessness and domestic violence in San Diego.

What:     Insiders Preview: CRC’s Holiday Baskets “Behind-the-Scenes” Event

CRC invites you to Jingle & Mingle, a fundraiser to support the 35th Annual Holiday Baskets Program. The event will feature behind-the-scenes tours of the Holiday Baskets set-up at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Holiday Baskets is a free and dignified “shopping extravaganza” with over 6,000 local low-income people/1,500 families, including about 3,500 children. Each family or individual will shop for jackets, blankets, books, infant items, bikes, toys, and a 50-pound box of food with all the staples to feed a family for a week, and special items for a holiday meal.

Jingle & Mingle includes personal tours, live music, raffle prizes, holiday food and drink. Special guests include Padres players, members of the Pad Squad, Padres Friar, Encinitas Mayor Catherine Blakespear, VIP donors, CRC Board members, CRC Executive Director and more wonderful folks to Jingle and Mingle with!

When:    Thursday, December 7 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Where:   Del Mar Fairgrounds Red Star Café.

Visuals: Del Mar Fairgrounds grandstand CRC holiday gift shop for families in need; photos of Padres players and alumni, Padres Friar and Pad Squad; interview opportunities with CRC participant Michael Williams, a formerly homeless veteran helped by CRC, and 1-on-1’s with leading and passionate community leaders and donors.
