Holiday Baskets 2024

Community Resource Center’s 42nd Annual Holiday Baskets brings joy and relief to households in need. With the support of our compassionate community, we help families celebrate the season while easing financial stress, allowing them to focus on essentials like rent and utilities. We provide three ways to brighten the holidays for our neighbors in need:

1. Holiday Shopping Experience: CRC clients will enjoy a “dignity of choice” shopping experience, where they can select most needed and wanted items at a local store. In addition, they’ll receive a voucher for gently-used items at CRC’s resale stores, new blanket, fresh produce, and personal care items.

2. Holiday Backpacks: Our unsheltered community members will receive backpacks to fill with winter essentials, including personal care items, nonperishable food, snacks, and special gifts. They’ll also be served a warm breakfast.

3. Senior Gifts: To make the holidays special for seniors, we’ll deliver gifts filled with thoughtful items to bring comfort, care, and holiday cheer.

Holiday Baskets program registration is limited to CRC clients, who will be contacted directly by their case manager, receive an invitation to register via email, or may register in person at 650 2nd Street.  If you are not a CRC client, please check 211 San Diego for information on additional holiday programs that might be available.
