Terry was in a cycle of domestic violence with her partner, who took over control of their finances and towards the end of their relationship, began lying to her about paying the rent. When she decided to end the relationship and kick him out, she was shocked to find out that she had 60 days to pay the overdue rent or face eviction. She had three children to take care of and no money to go somewhere else.
That’s when she contacted CRC’s Domestic Violence program, which helped her pay the back rent and find a new home for her family. Terry and her children are now living in a safe and stable environment. They helped her pay her back rent and the deposit for a new place to live.
Terry was so relieved and happy to be in a new place that was safe for her family and remains very grateful for the supportive services provided by CRC.
