April Volunteer of the Month: Gail Carroll

Congratulations to Gail Carroll, our April Volunteer of the Month!

Congratulations Gail on being selected as the CRC April Volunteer of the Month! Gail Carroll, habitual volunteer, started donating her time to the Assistance League after moving to San Diego area over 20 years ago. In 2019 Gail’s daughter, Courtney Harmeling, volunteered Gail to work on CRC’s English Tea fundraising Committee and described her mother as a “secret weapon” in planning events and Gail has lived up to that description!

Gail has been instrumental in planning and soliciting auction items for CRC’s English Tea and 40th Anniversary Gala fundraisers. She has also fundraised for blankets and other necessities for our Holiday Baskets program and has involved her quilting group making blankets for CRC’s domestic violence shelter and face covers throughout the pandemic.

Gail’s husband, Bob, is also very involved in the community with over 20 years delivering Meals On Wheels and with Senior Gleaners. CRC is so lucky that Courtney volunteered her mother and we have the support of this very community-minded family.
