Program participants are able to work one-on-one with a case manager to set and work towards reaching self-set goals that will put them on the path to self –reliance, supporting and providing safety for themselves and their families.
Eligible participants are provided with support through the means of gas cards and/or bus and coaster passes, enabling them to get the vital transportation necessary to gaining employment and accessing other critical services.
VITA allows CRC the ability to assist low-income families and individuals to receive free income tax preparation on-site. CRC IMPACT: In 2015, CRC’s VITA program was successful in completing 791 returns and returning $1,149,044.00 in total tax refunds, to individuals in our community- including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit (CTC).
Community Resource Center (CRC) is committed to creating pathways to stability and self-sufficiency through a variety of employment readiness programs for San Diego North County residents who are under-employed or unemployed as a result of health inequality, disruptive life incidents or circumstances.
CalFresh (Food Stamp) Application Assistance: Through a partnership with San Diego Health and Human Services, participants are able to apply for CalFresh through video conferencing at Community Resource Center. Appointments and walk-ins welcome, please call for days and times.
