Holiday Baskets Drives Toolkit

Host a donation drive
to give help & hope
to neighbors in need

Here you will find our toolkit, flyers and materials to help you host your own donation drive
for local families in need this holiday season.

Step 1: Determine your drive type

Decide if you’d like to host a Virtual Drive or Item Donation Drive to collect the following items:

  • Blankets: New blankets for families. Queen and king sizes. Handmade blankets/quilts should be pre-washed. 900 needed.
  • Baby Items: New items designated for babies: diapers, baby wipes, lotion, shampoo, pacifiers. 200 needed of each item.
  • Games & Puzzles: New family board games or puzzles suitable for the entire family. Please, no toys. 1,100 needed.
  • Coloring Books: Suitable for senior adults. 200 needed.
  • Personal Care Items: New travel or full-size shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap. 1,100 min needed for each item.
  • Electronics: Charging stations for multiple devices, earbuds, bluetooth speakers, batteries. 900 needed.
  • Coffee/Tea: Unopened instant coffee, ground coffee (reg/dec), tea bags. 1,100 needed.
  • Socks: New socks in all sizes. 1,100 or more needed.
  • Masks & Safety Products: New sterilization products including Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, masks for adults and children. 1,100 min needed for each item.
  • Household Items – Bulk Donations: New candles, spices, can openers, vegetable peelers, kitchen timers, measuring tapes, etc. 1,100 min needed for each item.

Step 3: Advertise your drive

CRC is on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. You can also start your own Facebook Fundraiser!

STEP 4: COLLECT ITEMS AND DONATIONS

Here are some tips for collecting items and donations:

  • Collection bins: To collect items, any large container will work! Be sure to print the collection bin sign and attach to your bin for collecting items.
  • Monetary donations: CRC can stretch every dollar donated into more food and essentials through our bulk purchasing power. Host your own virtual drive through MobileCause or Facebook. Checks can be made out to: Community Resource Center, with “Holiday Baskets” designated in the memo line. CRC also has envelopes available that you can distribute to your group or mailing. STEP 5: DELIVER ITEMS

Please coordinate with the item Captain for delivery and storage logistics (view our wish list for their contact information, or use the contact form above). You may also check this page after October 1 for information on drop-off dates and locations. Thank you!
