The Encinitas Advisory Committee on Homelessness invites you to attend a “Mental Health First Aid” training. Through the “Opening Doors Pilot Project” and partnership with the City of Encinitas, Community Resource Center and Interfaith Community Services share a commitment to increasing our community education on the challenges faced by homeless individuals.
Free and Open to the Public (Registration Required)
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour certified public education program that introduces participants to risk factors, warning signs and symptoms of specific types of illnesses such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, bipolar, and schizophrenia; builds understanding of their impact, and teaches a 5-step action plan to support someone developing an emotional crisis.
