Vickie Woods, LMFT
Vickie Woods joined Community Resource Center in 2006 while completing her graduate studies in Counseling Psychology. It was at Community Resource Center where she gained extensive experience counseling men, women and children of domestic violence and obtained certification training in domestic violence.
In addition to helping individuals heal from the effects of abuse, Vickie received training and has a strong background in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, addiction, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and grief and loss issues. Vickie embraces a holistic approach to counseling and incorporates such modalities as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Solution Focused into her therapeutic style. She believes that Self Acceptance, Self Loving and Compassion are keys to healing and resolving issues for the last time and to experiencing one’s inherent peace and joy. Vickie has also facilitated Support Groups, taught Domestic Violence Education Classes and ran Process Groups.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at California State University San Marcos and obtained Masters Degrees in both Counseling Psychology and in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.
