Stacy Slagor joined Community Resource Center in April 2016 as the Director of Development. Stacy provides the leadership, strategic direction and coordination for CRC’s resource development programs and activities, including annual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation giving and planned giving. Stacy also manages CRC’s public relations, marketing and special events.
Stacy brings over 18 years of experience successfully building and implementing nonprofit, university, industry and government partnerships. Stacy has served as a fundraising consultant and has previously worked as director of corporate relations and development for the International Society for Computational Biology, where she helped structure a fundraising committee and worked to develop new giving opportunities for individuals, corporations and foundations. Stacy has also worked as a corporate relations executive at the University of California, San Diego and at the University of Rochester in New York.
Her volunteer activities span from college, when she tutored homeless children in New York City, to recently, when she served as a board member for Slow Food Urban San Diego. Stacy is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Association of Advancement Services Professionals and Athena San Diego.
Stacy holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Literature with a concentration in writing from New York University.
