Bob joined Community Resource Center in 2014. In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Bob leads the Resale Store operations, management of the real estate portfolio; finance, business planning and budgeting, human resources, all risk management activities, administration, and IT. During his tenure he has led a turnaround of CRC’s Resale Store division and had the primary responsibility for restructuring the organization’s portfolio of both leased and owned real estate, including a strategic re-finance of the CRC headquarters. Additionally, he has restructured CRC’s Ways to Work automobile loan program; and improved the organization’s financial and grant reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Bob has more than twenty five years of highly skilled management experience involving complex entrepreneurial organizations, including leadership positions with several diverse San Diego companies. Most recently, Bob served as the Chief Financial Officer for City Scene Management Company/CityLink Investment Corporation, a real estate development and management firm focusing on redevelopment opportunities, which improve peoples’ lives, with emphasis on public private partnerships.
Bob has a passion for community service. Since 2001, he has volunteered with Community HousingWorks, assisting resident boards in governing their non-profit corporation. Bob has also served as an international volunteer advisor in Bulgaria (1995) Russia (2000), Malawi (2010) and Liberia (2012). These volunteer assignments focused on providing accounting and financial management training to small business owners–as a means of increasing access to micro-finance and enhancing financial sustainability.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bucknell University and is also a Certified Public Accountant.
