Position: Integrative Services Manager

Miranda Mendez joined Community Resource Center in 2013 as a Bilingual Case Manager, and in 2014 became Social Services Program Manager. In this role, she oversees all of Community Resource Center’s many integrated Social Services programs, ensuring that CRC’s clients receive access to the services most suited for their particular situation.

Miranda manages the daily operations of the Social Services program, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and adherence to policies and procedures.  She provides direct supervision and support to CRC’s Social Services Case Managers, undergraduate interns and community volunteers working in the Social Services Department.

Miranda also coordinates the North County Coastal branch of the Interfaith Shelter Network and is an active member of the Alliance for Regional Solutions’ Shelter Committee.

While working on her degree at Cal State University San Marcos, Miranda was awarded “The Growing Tree Award” for her work with the CSUSM Women’s Center and her commitment to promoting gender equity, women’s empowerment, and social justice. Her continued dedication to equity, empowerment and social justice within the communities she serves is a driving force behind the work she does at Community Resource Center.

Miranda recently earned a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Brandman University and holds Bachelors of Arts degrees in both Women’s Studies and Criminology and Justice Studies from California State University, San Marcos.  She earned a Masters of Arts degree in Sociological Practice in 2011, also from CSUSM.
