Isabel St. Germain Singh
Isabel joined Community Resource Center in July 2016. Most recently, St.Germain Singh headed up the real estate and housing department for Second Chance, a nonprofit whose mission is to disrupt the cycle of incarceration and poverty by helping people become self-sufficient. Prior to working at Second Chance, St.Germain Singh was the president and CEO of Habitat for Humanity in Quebec, Canada, where she led the successful merger of three affiliates. She was responsible for Board, staff, volunteer and fund development
as well as for the oversight of LEED-certified construction projects.
Prior positions also include executive director of Eureka Communities, a national nonprofit that provides leadership development programs and internships for CEOs and executive directors in San Diego, and CEO of Bayview Community Development Corporation, a San Diego inner-city nonprofit established to provide economic initiatives, low income resident programs, employment and training and affordable housing for the low to very-low income population.
St.Germain Singh studied nonprofit management at San Diego State University and nonprofit leadership at the Development Training Institute in Maryland. She served as former president of the San Diego Nonprofit Federation for Affordable Housing, as well as on the advisory board for LEAD San Diego, the San Diego Foundation’s Task Force on Economic Development and as a partner with the Employment Learning Partnership with the Jacobs Family Foundation, to name a few. She is a recipient of the “Fellow of the Year” award from Eureka Communities and is a certified Integrative Nutrition Coach.
