DESCRIPTION:Since 1983\, Community Resource Center’s Holiday Baskets program has been providing relief to households in need during the holiday season. With the support of our compassionate community\, our 43rd Annual Holiday Baskets Program will help families celebrate the season while easing financial stress\, allowing them to focus on essentials like rent and utilities. \n\nYou can help your neighbors this holiday season. CRC’s Holiday Baskets brings joy and relief to households in need\, providing:\n\n\n\n1. Holiday Shopping Experience: CRC clients will enjoy a “dignity of choice” shopping experience\, where they can select most needed and wanted items at a local store. In addition\, they’ll receive a voucher for gently-used items at CRC’s resale stores\, new blanket\, fresh produce\, and personal care items.\n\n2. Holiday Backpacks: Our unsheltered community members will receive a new backpack and enjoy a “dignity of choice” shopping experience\, where they can select winter essentials\, personal care items\, nonperishable food\, snacks and special gifts.\n\n3. Senior Gifts: To make the holidays special for seniors\, some will enjoy a “dignity of choice” shopping experience. Other seniors will receive a gift bag filled with thoughtful items to bring comfort\, care and holiday cheer.\n\n\nWith your support\, families can celebrate the season while easing financial stress so limited dollars can go toward essentials like rent and utilities.\nFor more details and information on how you can help support Holiday Baskets\, please visit the program website. \nYour contribution to Holiday Baskets will help brighten the holidays for families\, seniors\, and unsheltered individuals in our community. Please consider a gift today to help ensure that everyone in our community experiences the joy and warmth of the holiday season. \nSince 1983\, Community Resource Center’s Holiday Baskets program has been providing relief to households in need during the holiday season. \nLast year\, thanks to our supporters\, 1\,158 people received food\, blankets & gifts during Holiday Baskets. \nHoliday Baskets program registration is limited to CRC clients\, who will be contacted directly by their case manager\, receive an invitation to register via email\, or may register in person at 650 2nd Street.  If you are not a CRC client\, please check 211 San Diego for information on additional holiday programs that might be available.
