Congratulations to CRC’s Volunteer of the Month, Matthew Walker!
Matthew is nominated this month by our staff driver, Darris, for going above and beyond in April to support our Fresh Rescue program here at CRC. He will be taking a second weekly shift as well while one of our volunteer team members takes some planned time off.
The Fresh Rescue program requires our truck to pick up food, otherwise headed to the landfills, to be distributed to our food-insecure neighbors through the Food Pantry.
The Fresh Rescue Support team has been going strong now for two years, and provides volunteers who share the literal heavy lift with our staff each day on their pickup routes. Dedicated volunteers like Matthew ensure that our Food Pantry is stocked and that our staff get much-needed support. Thank you!
