It started as spaghetti lunch 15 years ago, and how it has grown!  CRC's Annual English Tea is now one of the most popular spring charity events around, and the traditional English sandwiches and loose-leaf teas from Mother England are a local legend.  The gathering centers on keyote addresses that impact our community, bringing issues and stakeholders together for an afternoon to remember.  Hope to see you there!

KEYNOTE SPEAKER - Laurin Pause

Since taking the helm as CRC’s Executive Director in 2004, Laurin Pause has been critical to bringing funding to the community and smart project management to social services that promote safety, stability, and self-sufficiency.

She has been the architect of innovative domestic violence and social services programs that are comprehensive, not cosmetic. Building on the premise that wrap-around services create real change, Laurin has developed and introduced a unique set of programs that have produced remarkable success rates within our community. In a timely Keynote Address, the woman who many in the county call both a fiscal and social services authority, will discuss how saving programs that work positively impacts the community.

EMCEE - Kimberly Edwards

Kimberly Edwards returns to host this year’s English Tea and will facilitate a special Q&A session with survivors among us. Kim first became involved with CRC as a 10News reporter, telling the story of a brave survivor at Carol’s House. After 17 years as an award-winning television news reporter, Kim transitioned to public relations in 2007, joining the Health Sciences Communications team at UC San Diego.
