Education & Outreach
The Education and Outreach Program’s purpose is to intervene with and prevent domestic violence (DV) by educating organizations and middle and high schools about DV and policies and procedures that promote safe, violence-free environments.
Community Resource Center’s Education and Outreach Program serves area middle and high schools, non-profit, faith-based, and/or community organizations, and hospitals and health clinics. Through the Program, the Education and Outreach Coordinator provides population-specific presentations in English and Spanish, with the help of CRC’s bilingual staff counselor or a translator from the served organization. The outcomes include overall DV awareness and recognition; knowledge of DV incident reporting procedures; and incorporation of key workplace/school procedures and policies that may intervene with or prevent DV.
